Facilties for children
In addition to providing an educational service to primary and secondary schools, the Museum also offers a wide-range of workshops as well as more hands-on activities for children visiting the Museum.
Children's activity packs
These fun-filled bags contain trails, word searches, practical activities and colouring sheets all centred around the East Asia theme.
Family learning area
Located on the second floor, the Museum has an area solely dedicated to family learning. Information boards and activities are constantly changing.
Dressing-up boxes
Situated in the galleries, the Museum has a collection of accessorises and clothes from Japan and China which are easily accessible to children.
Child friendly facilities
As our younger visitors are often the most inquisitive about our information and objects, the Museum has movable footstools so even the youngest child has the opportunity to learn.
