Detailing the fascinating voyage of Isabel and Eleanor Cadbury to China and Japan in 1907 this exhibition reveals a collection of early 20th century textiles and souvenir items from East Asia. On loan from a local family.

Qing:
The Last Dynasty

A wonderful insight into the golden age of the Qing dynasty. The exhibition takes a revealing look at the art and culture of China's final period of imperial rule.
17th August - 12th December 2004 This display of contemporary Nanga paintings captures the exquisite beauty of the traditional Chinese style and the expansion of this technique within Japanese art.

A touring exhibition of contemporary paintings and ritual objects from the complex and highly symbolic system of Tibetan Buddhism.

Purity and Simplicity:
Paintings by Zhou Jun

The exhibition, by painter Zhou Jun, is a collection of paintings characterized by the traditional use of Chinese water based materials and ink techniques. Naturalness and simplicity of design, lie at the heart of Zhou Jun's Art.
