Celebrate an ancient East Asian tradition at our annual Harvest Moon Festival – and enter our raffle to win a pair of tickets to the Thermae Bath Spa. This exciting, fun-packed event, includes storytelling and craft activities inspired by the moon from across East and South East Asia.

Storyteller Martin Maudsley will unveil a shimmering selection of magical moon myths from around the world, all told with sparkle and shine to leave you feeling over the moon!

The Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated by many Asian countries. Traditionally, families gather on the evening of the festival. While adults eat mooncakes and drink tea, children play in the garden comparing who has the best lantern in the group.

If the weather is fine, storytelling sessions will be held outside at The Circus and will be open to all. Seating will be on the ground, but please feel free to bring your own cushions, chairs or stools. If the weather is very wet we will move the storytelling into the museum. Due to limited space only pre-booked places will be guaranteed.
